Primarily a runway
rehabilitation project which included overlay and new
construction, new storm drainage, storm management
basin, shoulder construction, all new lighting and
marking. All of which was accomplished during motivated
milestone periods or nightly 9-hour closures. Project
security measures included 5-year employment background
checks, plus "Post 9/11" several miles of new perimeter
fence inspections roads were added along with more
stringent gate guard requirements.
