Project consisted of
upgrading an existing taxiway to meet current FAA
standards. The work included grading infield areas to
establish new drainage patterns, modifications to
existing drainage structures, installation of embankment
along with pipe extensions and new drainage structures.
The taxiway improvements included milling of existing
asphalt and removal/replacement of existing pavement
structures along with a complete overlay of the entire
taxiway and ties-ins to cross taxiways and runways. Work
was performed on a live taxiway, under flight traffic
and included very restrictive staging/phasing work
sequencing.
