Project consisted of
grading, drainage, paving and bridge construction over
the Dan River and approaches on NC-87 in Eden, North
Carolina.
The existing bridge was demolished after the
construction of the new bridge was complete. Difficulty
of the demolition was due to the proximity of the new
bridge and a limit on debris falling into the river,
plus flooding during the demolition.
