Project consisted of
grading and utilities for construction of a bottling and
distribution center in Wytheville, Virginia. Work
included erosion control, earthwork, concrete flatwork,
asphalt paving, stone base, signage and pavement
markings, and a limited amount of footing and foundation
excavation. Additional work included sanitary sewer
(portions of process sewer), water distribution and
storm sewer. BHI worked with owner to maintain schedule
while working in wet conditions – the bulk of the
material was moved during the winter months and with
several design alterations during construction. Hilltop
site of approximately 33 acres required over 450,000
million cubic yards of on-site and off-site borrow
materials to develop the site.
